Huang WenXiu was the first Party secretary tasked with poverty alleviation in Baini Village in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. On June 17, 2019, a heavy storm hit the village. Concerned about the residents' safety, she decided to go check on them. Unfortunately, she died in a flash flood on her way back from the village. She was just 30 years old. To commemorate Huang, the villagers have kept her room intact, and framed her personal items like her working diary.
