Mainling, known as "Shangri-la in the clouds," is a lovely county in Nyingchi, southeast Tibet. It's clean, beautiful, and provides a conducive environment for growing herbal medicine. One of the most precious remedies grown here is the fungus Ganoderma lucidum, which is cultivated on a family farm visited by Niuniu. The crop has also helped with the county's poverty alleviation.
